Deborah Dubner
Deborah is a psychologist, author and dance focaliser living in Sao Paulo. Her postgrad degree was Circle Dance facilitation at UNIPAZ (International University for Peace) and her dance teaching has focused on the areas of health, environment and education. Since qualifying, she has taken many additional trainings and courses. Deborah has focalised 4 weekly wheels in the city where she and her husband live (Itu), for adults and children. For seven years Deborah taught Circle Dance every week to children aged 7 – 12 in an underprivileged area. Deborah has been invited to teach courses, workshops and balls (festive dance events) in other Brazilian cities and states. She also organizes courses with visiting teachers, sometimes teaching cooperatively. |
Deborah created the portal www.dancacircular.com.br and her writing includes a book about love, one on gratitude and three books about therapeutic and integrative aspects of Circle Dance. One is addressed specifically to beginners. Another provides resources for teachers and focalisers while a third goes into depth about the health benefits of dancing.
Deborah is a passionate wife and mother who relishes dancing, singing, drumming, photography and networking. Her training includes psychodrama at the Instituto Moreno. Independent spiritual study |
includes Gurdjieff, Shamanism and meditation. These various influences combine in her dance focalising to support people in finding joy, inner peace and harmony with others. “I finally learned to dance Life! I love sharing this, and seeing the eyes shine.”
